About Precision Garden Work
I'm Anton Schellingerhout, and I own and run Precision Garden Work. I handle garden maintenance, clean-ups, lawn care, hedge and topiary trimming, planting and tree work across South Auckland, from my base in Karaka out to Papakura, Drury and everywhere between, with jobs also taken on further into East Auckland and Central Auckland.
I worked in the industry from a very young age, in my family's arborist and landscaping business. That's where I actually learned the trade, not from a short course or a weekend job, but from years spent on real properties doing the work alongside people who already knew it properly.
I got tired of watching corners get cut by bigger garden maintenance companies. Jobs rushed instead of done properly, prices that crept once the work had already started, whoever was free on the day turning up instead of whoever actually quoted it. I started Precision Garden Work to do it differently: the correct way, the first time, at an honest price.
Quality, honest pricing, reliability and good communication are what every job gets built around. I'd rather lose a job to someone cheaper than cut corners to win it. Doing the work properly and being straight with the people I'm doing it for matters more to me than being the lowest number on the page. Cheap options and discount rates aren't what this business is about, and that's by choice, not by accident.
I quote the job, and I'm the one who turns up and does it. No rotating crew, no subcontractors, no explaining the job over again to somebody new. If anything needs adjusting once the work's underway, you're still talking to the same person who gave you the price in the first place. I take on scheduled garden maintenance, full garden revamps, and tree and hedge work most, but every job gets the same approach regardless of size.
